Butterfly Center
It's official...I have skipped more than a whole month of posting!! I'm a horrible blogger. Hannah hasn't been up to much lately. We've been spending a lot of time at Maw Maw's lately trying to help her out. Joey came in for a few days this past weekend and we went to the butterfly museum. Hannah had a lot of fun. I think partly because it is a fun place to go, but partly because she has missed her daddy and it was a fun day out with him. So I wanted to post a few pictures of our adventure. Enjoy! I know I also need to post Hannah's latest and greatest portraits. But for now here are the butterfly pics.

Picture Tag
So I was tagged by Nicole over at Mom's Highway...sorry Nicole I'm too lazy to put a link in here. See the link in the side bar.The tag goes like this:
1. Go to your photos and select the 4th folder.
2. Select the 4th photo.
3. Post it. No editing, cropping etc. and then give a description.
4. Tag 4 more people.
So here is my 4th photo from my 4th folder. With no editing. This is a picture of Hannah when she got to ride on a long horn. The two guys in the picture are the owner of the long horn and his son. And I know Carol Anne is thanking her lucky stars that I wasn't tagged to post my 13th photo in the 4th folder!! Haha!
RATS!
I think I will tag:

Field Trip
I'll probably have bad dreams tonight!
Happy New Year!
Well... belated!! Just wanted to put up a few of the pictures from New Year's. Sorry they are sooo late. I've also gotten Hannah's picture made and need to get some of those up on here. I'll get around to it eventually!! So anyway, Happy New Year!
Here is Hannah doing a sparkler...really the only fireworks she was willing to participate in other than watching. And you can tell that she is half excited and half scared. That's o.k. with me. It's good to have a healthy fear of some things. Fire being one of those things!
This is how she spent a lot of the evening. All cuddled up. It was really cold.
This is also how she spent a lot of time that night. Maybe we should invest in ear muffs next year!

Violin
A few nights ago we went to a queens contest for the local Jr. Livestock Show and this is where Hannah got the idea in her mind that she wanted to learn to play the violin! Special thanks to a beautiful young lady named Amy! The girl really was pretty and her long flowing white dress ony added to the picture! For her talent she played the (you guessed it) violin. Now the task of finding someone in our remote location that teaches violin lessons. Not likely! Maybe in the next town there is one, but even that is not probable. Wish me luck! I'll keep you posted on how it goes, but in the meantime a picture to tide you over! She really is cute with it and even if I never find a teacher for her, she has already played with the thing enough to get our money's worth out of it.

Dear Hannah,
Of all the things you can order online...a baby is not one of them! Although it would probably be a lot easier than the traditional way of getting one! Love,
Your Mom
After lunch today Hannah came into the room with a clip board, paper and a pen and asked me what I would like to order. I thought that she was talking about a meal and told her that I would like chicken fried steak. "No, what do you want to order online," she said. She then told me that I was going to order some kind of furniture. So I requested a dining room table with 8 chairs. A few minutes later she asked me if I would like to order a baby online too. "A baby doll," I asked. "No a real baby!" To which I said, "you can't order real babies online!" She informed me that today you could order a baby online. And the rest of the conversation went like this:
H - "So what color would you like it's skin to be?"
Me - "Our color, please."
H - "O.k., with freckles?"
Me - "Absolutely."
H - "What would you like it's name to be?"
Me - "Joshua"
H - "Uhm, no we don't have any Joshua's how about Lola...would you like a girl?"
Me - "Sure, girls are great."
H - "O.k. we were out of dining room tables so you got this couch and the bill is $10, and for the baby you have to give me $1."
As I pay up, I'm thinking we really need to talk about how some things have more value than others and the value of some things cannot be measured!

It's That Time Of Year...
We went to the mall the other day and had Hannah's picture with Santa Clause done. She told Santa that she wanted him to surprise her this year. No specific requests. That's funny because a week or so ago she went through a toy catalog and circled the things that she is requesting from me and Joey...and a few other people. Everything she circled in the catalogs cost at least $60. Hopefully she understood when I told her that she could circle whatever she wanted, but that she wouldn't necessarily get everything she circled. After visiting Santa she informed me that we needed to get Santa a gift too. So at Target yesterday she decided that a gingerbread house that we put together would be just the gift. I was hoping to get a picture of her missing teeth to put on here and I had taken some pictures from Maw Maw's birthday that I was going to put on here as well. The only problem is that Hannah took a picture of the gingerbread house last night after we finished it and now she doesn't know where she put the camera. So perhaps in the coming days or weeks I will manage to find the camera and will get to upload a few belated pictures!!
